All In For Equality Advocacy Day, a day to bring the community together at the Texas State Capitol is set for Monday, March 24, starting at 9 a.m. at the Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress Ave. in Austin.
The event is hosted by Equality Texas, ACLU, Human Rights Campaign, Lambda Legal, Texas Freedom Network and Transgender Education Network of Texas. It will include trainings on how to talk to legislators, a march to the Capitol South Steps, a rally at noon and visits with representatives. There will be transportation arranged from major cities.
All In For Equality goal is to lobby lawmakers to pass inclusive policies, end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression and defend the rights of LGBTQ Texans in schools, housing, healthcare and other settings.
Those from DFW planning to attend Advocacy Day are encouraged to attend the Regional Advocacy Training session on Saturday, March 1, from 2-4 p.m. at Resource Center, 5750 Cedar Springs Road.
