A 54-year-old Scarborough trucker faces impaired driving and other charges after police investigated a broken down tractor-trailer on Boundary Road near Hwy 401 in South Glengarry, Friday afternoon.

OPP and provincial transport officers investigated the vehicle shortly after 3 p.m.

Officers found a large open bottle of vodka on the truck’s centre console. Photos released by police also apparently showed mixers and snacks at hand on the console.

The driver was tested on a roadside device before being transported to the detachment for further tests.

He was charged and released, with a court appearance scheduled for March 25 in Cornwall.
