A New Look For Life in The Sky At The Vendome

Vendome

I’ve written about my love affair with the Vendome before. Every time a penthouse comes up for sale here, I fall in love with it a little bit more.

Much of the draw of any luxury condominium is the staff. I’ve bragged about the Vendome staff for years. They are professional and friendly, of course, but they are also discreet and will protect your privacy as if you were a movie star. Isn’t that one of the biggest reasons we love living in a high-rise? You simply cannot beat the privacy and security offered here, especially when you have a restricted access elevator that opens to both floors of Penthouse 18 C, which is my new fixation.

This Vendome penthouse was last on the market in 2019 but looks nothing like it did then. Go back and have a look! As gorgeous as it was five years ago, it’s off the charts now, thanks to a stunning transformation. I’ll take a page from the Vendome staff and just say the owner knows more about construction and design than most. The only thing that looks familiar is the beautiful walnut floors running throughout the penthouse and the paneling that wraps the entry hall from floor to ceiling. It’s an intricately detailed African Sapele Mahogany that no one in their right mind would ever remove.

What we now see is luxurious, dramatic, and frankly downright sexy. One of the biggest changes in the 6,600-square-foot luxury penthouse was deceptively simple. The liberal use of extremely dark designer wallpaper with gold accents completely transformed the second-floor living and media area. It seems an obvious choice in retrospect. The color truly offsets the magnificent views of Turtle Creek and the city, essentially turning each window’s view into a piece of art. Those views are another reason the Vendome is such an attractive high-rise.

“There are spectacular views in three directions,” Allie Beth Allman listing agent Kyle Crews said.

You can more fully enjoy those views when you step out onto one of the five terraces.

The kitchen is a chef’s dream, designed to meet the requirements of any professional with a SubZero refrigerator and a Wolf commercial gas oven.  It was also treated to a coat of midnight black and features gorgeous new countertops of Calacatta Macchia Vecchia marble that look just like caramel swirl ice cream. Your chef can grab you a magnificent Terragena Carneros Pinot Noir from the 2,200-bottle wine room to enjoy while you prepare for your guests to arrive. After dinner, everyone can enjoy the latest movie or the current episode of their favorite series in the enormous home theater.

The penthouse has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two-powder-bath. The large primary suite, with a terrace, has stunning views of downtown.
The primary bathroom underwent another astonishing transformation with walls and countertops of Araescato Corchia marble.

Life in the sky has never been a better choice. The Vendome certainly offers luxury urban living with everything you can imagine, from flawless 24/7 concierge services and panoramic views of the city to a prime location and amenities that include a resort-style pool, a fitness center, a club room, and three guest suites for your visitors. Imagine sky-high living in the middle of our vibrant city. What’s not to love?

Crews has 3505 Turtle Creek Penthouse 18C available for $6.9 million, and you can see it as early as tomorrow!
