Westlake Ranch never ceases to amaze and inspire me. And when I spotted this Scandinavian Modern design, I thought, “Finally.”
We have plenty of homes inspired by French, Italian, and Spanish architecture, but we’ve been behind the curve when it comes to embracing Scandinavian residential builds. I don’t know why. Just look at the beautiful views here, it makes perfect sense.

If you are new to the Dallas area and house hunting, don’t overlook this exclusive slice of paradise. Westlake Ranch is an exclusive gated community with room for only 32 homes. It’s adjacent to Vaquero and only 15 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. It offers an absolutely extraordinary lifestyle.

The neighborhood offers a great setting, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and three indoor pickleball courts, and now you can buy an absolutely gorgeous Scandinavian Modern home perched on the water’s edge in Westlake Ranch.
I was not surprised to find out SCH Homes built this house. They are known as trendsetters in the luxury homebuilding arena, and cutting-edge design is in their DNA. Laura Juarez Baggett was the architect, which is also not a surprise, given that she has created some of the most thoughtful and innovative designs I’ve ever seen.

DeLeo & Fletcher Design worked on the interior, and, as one would expect on a home of this level, the team at George Bass Stage & Design staged it so that buyers could truly appreciate how the house lives.
“This home has the perfect layout,” Bass said. “There are simple and refined lines and an easiness throughout the home. It’s a spectacular architectural style.”

This Scandinavian Modern luxury home is situated on just over half an acre of waterfront property, spanning 6,675 square feet and featuring four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a half-bath.

The home was sited for dramatic lake views across the back of the house. The Scandinavian influences are evident throughout with the use of beautiful organic materials, neutral colors, and a seamless integration into nature. Although it’s architecturally magnificent, there is a subtlety to Scandinavian design that creates a center of calmness in a home that cannot be denied. I sincerely hope we see much more of this in Texas.
