Here we go again… MAYBE…
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) just slept together on Young & the Restless, & if this turns into something real, Victoria could be circling step-motherhood for a second time.
A Step-Mom Redo Nobody Asked For
Young & the Restless loves recycling its family dynamics, & this could be a prime example. Victoria didn’t exactly audition for “involved parental figure” the first time she was in this position, back when she was married to Ashland Locke. She was busy running Newman Enterprises, dealing with Ashland’s chaos, & generally not bonding with a toddler. Victoria & Harrison barely had a moment together onscreen. Blink & you missed it.

So the idea that one night with Kyle could eventually put her back in a maternal role for Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell), just through a different Abbott man, is objectively funny to consider.
Why This Time Might Actually Be Different
Victoria’s not the same woman she was during the Ashland years. She’s had time, distance, & presumably some growth since then. If she & Kyle actually build something real, there’s a chance she puts in more effort with Harrison than she did the first time. Or she could coast on autopilot again & let Kyle handle the parenting while she handles the business empire.

After all, Kyle Abbott STILL lives with his parents & if they are not helping with Harrison, there’s another Abbott or sweet Mrs. Martinez. Young & the Restless hasn’t shown us which version of Victoria we’re getting yet, & honestly, it hasn’t even shown us if we’re getting one at all.
Victoria’s Already Closer to This Kid Than She Thinks
It’s not like Victoria’s been a stranger to Harrison’s life this whole time. Her niece, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), is Harrison’s adoptive mother. Her daughter, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), was his nanny, & later Kyle’s serious girlfriend for a stretch. At this point, Victoria’s basically one Newman family reunion away from being read into Harrison’s baby book. She just hasn’t been the one holding him.
This isn’t necessarily Victoria’s first rodeo as a step-mom, & it might not be her last.
