Tracker – Purification – Review : Breaking Free

Episode four of the season, and it just seems to keep getting better and better. I am really loving the new format of getting to see a bit more about everyone on the show’s lives, and that Colter is more open to allowing others in.
Honestly, I wasn’t that much of a fan of the case, but I think that is more of a personal thing on not liking religious-based storylines like this. However, that doesn’t mean that this wasn’t a great episode and didn’t show the situation incredibly well.
I really enjoyed watching how Colter interacted with different people this episode. I am constantly amazed by the way you can physically see Colter’s body language and speaking tone change depending on who he is dealing with. I absolutely loved the way that he acted with Steven after finding out that he had a kid but had been cheating on his wife; waving him away saying he can find his own way back was so great.
It’s always cool when we get to see what Colter’s core values are.

I liked that we got to see more of Colter conversing with the whole team rather than just with Randy, and the information being relayed to the rest of the team. It was a full team effort to get them to save the two hostages, and it made it all the more interesting to watch.

I think it worked really well having us see Colter and Reenie talk about what was going to happen to Jason next; sometimes we don’t get to see that, so it was nice that we got to see that they did a little bit more than they usually do to protect Jason.
We also got to see a lot more about what is going on with Reenie, Randy, and Mel. Reenie finally found an apartment, and I can’t wait to see what it really looks like on the inside. It seems like it might be a fixer-upper, but I am looking forward to seeing how the new space looks. I also think it will be nicer to see them back in a normal space rather than the bright lights and exercise ball chairs that we have seen for the first four episodes.
By far my favourite part of this episode was the last scene. After the apartment scene, I was expecting the episode to be over. I was so happy that there was more even before I knew what was coming.
I am loving the way that things are going for Colter and Jenna. Their chemistry is great, and it’s so nice to see this different side to Colter, where he’s flirting a little more happily. However, what I think made the scene so good for me is her asking if he gets lonely on his own and him fumbling over his words.
Realistically, we know that the answer is a complicated version of yes, he does, but it was spun in such a great way to see them finally get that date planned in. We might not have got to actually see the date, but we at least know that by the next episode, they have been on a date.
I am so intrigued to see where this relationship for Colter goes. Currently, they seem like a really great match, and we hopefully will get to see them date at some point.
This has been such an interesting start to the season, and I am excited to see where we go for the rest of it.
