Pinkies under new ownership – Dallas Voice

Pinkies, the coffee-and-cocktails spot on the Cedar Springs Strip, has new ownership effective today (Friday, Oct. 16), the new owners announced today in a press release.

PIPTXC LLC, led by Dallas hospitality operators Marc Buehler and Jason Preston, has acquired the business from founders Trey Stewart and Meghan Harris, with Buehler and Preston promising the press release that “For guests and staff, nothing changes out of the gate. Same team behind the bar, same great coffee and cocktails, same hours, same room. The only thing that has changed is whose name is on the paperwork.”

“Trey and Meghan built something special, and the last thing we want to do is come in and change it,” Buehler said in the press release. “Pinkies works. Our job on day one is simple. Keep the lights on, keep the team in place and keep giving the neighborhood the spot they already love. If we earn the right to add anything down the road, we’ll do it with the regulars, not to them.”

Pinkies is located at 3900 Cedar Springs Road.

Stewart and Harris opened Pinkies “and grew it into one of The Strip’s go-to spots — a coffee lounge by day and a cocktail bar by night,” the press release said. “The new owners say their first priority is continuity, honoring what the founders built while keeping the staff and the feel of the place intact.”

Stewart and Harris said in the press release, “For the past seven-and-a-half years, Cedar Springs has been more than just a place of business. It has been our home and a community we’ve been incredibly proud to serve. From countless celebrations and unforgettable memories to the friendships we’ve made along the way, being part of this neighborhood has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.

“We are endlessly grateful to our amazing team, loyal guests, and the community that has supported us through the years,” Stewart and Harris continued. “As we pass the baton to Marc and Jason, we do so with full hearts and tremendous excitement for the future of Pinkies. We know they will continue our vision of creating a welcoming, vibrant and safe space for this community to gather, celebrate and make memories for many years to come.”

Buehler and Preston are longtime operators on and around Cedar Springs, and both are regulars in the neighborhood themselves, according to the press release, noting that they “plan to spend their early days listening to guests and staff before considering any changes.

“This is a great business in a great neighborhood, and we’re lucky to be the ones taking the handoff,” Buehler said. “Come in this week, and you won’t notice a thing, which is exactly how we want it.”

Pinkies is open and serving under its regular hours.
