The Prince of Wales walked behind Harald’s coffin as it traveled from the Royal Palace to Oslo Cathedral. Princess Anne also attended, along with other European royals, including Spain’s King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and Denmark’s King Frederik X and Queen Mary.
According to a source familiar with the arrangements, Prince Harry’s absence was reportedly not accidental. The insider claimed organizers knew that either King Charles or William would attend, so they did not include Harry in the official British delegation. “William’s attendance reflects the role he now occupies within the working monarchy,” the source said.
The insider added that Harry is still outside this official structure and claimed his absence showed how different his position is from William’s.
