Helix Elite Mattresses Are 30% Off for Labor Day
The biggest discount in the current Helix sale is 30% off Elite mattresses, which is particularly relevant if you’ve been considering the Dusk Elite we sleep on. The Elite collection is Helix’s premium mattress range, and while it’s definitely an investment, after three months with ours I can give you a much better answer about whether I’d actually spend my own money on it.
I originally agreed to try the Dusk Elite because it was gifted. Our previous mattress was actually really good and didn’t need replacing, so this wasn’t a case of swapping an obviously terrible mattress for a better one. Within three nights, however, both Lewis and I stopped waking up with the back pain we’d experienced most mornings for years. Three months later, that’s still the case.
Cooling has been another major difference. We’re both hot sleepers and I was also dealing with night sweats before changing mattresses. I’ve had none since switching to the Dusk Elite. Even through a Las Vegas summer, it has slept so cool for me that we actually increased our bedroom temperature by one degree at night because I was getting too cold. The mattress itself also feels the same as when it arrived. We’ve had no sagging or body impressions, the edge support hasn’t changed and I barely notice Lewis moving or getting out of bed at night.

If the Elite collection is outside your budget, this is the range I’d look at next rather than assuming you need the most expensive option. However, I haven’t personally slept on a Helix Luxe mattress, so I’m not going to tell you which Luxe model is “best” based on specifications alone. Instead, I’d take the Helix Sleep Quiz. One of the things I liked when we were choosing ours was that Helix doesn’t simply offer one mattress and expect it to work for everyone. The quiz takes your sleeping position and preferences into account and recommends the mattress designed to suit them. That’s actually how we ended up with the Dusk Elite.

If neither the Elite nor Luxe collections is right for you, the Labor Day sale also includes 20% off sitewide. That gives you more flexibility to shop across Helix rather than choosing a mattress simply because it has the biggest percentage discount. A mattress is too expensive and too important to choose based solely on which one is on the best sale. I’d use the Helix Sleep Quiz first, see which mattress you’re matched with and then compare the current offer on that particular model.
Which Helix Mattress Should You Choose?
I wouldn’t automatically recommend buying the Dusk Elite simply because it’s the mattress we have and love. My husband and I both thought we preferred a firm mattress before taking the Helix Sleep Quiz, yet neither of us was sleeping particularly well and we’d both been waking up with back pain for years. The quiz helped us narrow down which Helix mattress was suited to our sleep preferences rather than us guessing based on what we thought we liked.
For us, the Dusk Elite has turned out to be the right choice. We both sleep hot, we share a bed, and after three months we’re still sleeping without the back pain we had before. I also barely feel Lewis moving during the night, which has been another benefit of sharing the mattress. Your needs may be completely different, which is why I’d start with the quiz and use my review as a firsthand look at the Dusk Elite if that’s one of the mattresses you’re considering.
If you were already planning on buying a Helix mattress, I’d take advantage of the Labor Day sale rather than paying full price, particularly if you’re considering an Elite or Luxe mattress. The 30% Elite discount is the standout offer for me because these are expensive mattresses and that percentage makes a meaningful difference to the final price.
I wouldn’t, however, buy a more expensive mattress just to get a bigger discount. Start with the mattress that actually suits the way you sleep, then take advantage of whichever Labor Day offer applies to it. If the Dusk Elite is the mattress you’re considering, three months of sleeping on ours has only made me more confident recommending it. The price is significant, but our experience hasn’t been about a tiny improvement we could barely notice. We’re no longer waking up with back pain, I’m no longer having night sweats, and we’re waking up more comfortable.
It hasn’t magically cured my insomnia, but I wouldn’t expect a mattress to do that. What it has done is remove several of the things that were making sleep less comfortable. And if we needed to buy another mattress tomorrow, we’d choose the Dusk Elite again.

Does the Helix Dusk Elite sleep hot?
Not in my experience. In fact, cooling has been one of the biggest improvements for me. Both my husband and I are hot sleepers, and I was experiencing night sweats before we changed mattresses. I’ve had no night sweats since switching to the Dusk Elite. Even during summer in Las Vegas, we’ve actually increased our bedroom temperature by one degree because I was getting too cold at night. Individual experiences will obviously vary, but that’s been our experience after three months.
Is Helix good for couples?
The Dusk Elite has worked extremely well for us as a couple, particularly because we don’t necessarily have identical sleep preferences. Motion isolation has also been good in our experience. I barely notice Lewis moving or getting in and out of bed. He never feels me moving either, although he’s pretty much dead to the world once he’s asleep, so I’m not giving the mattress all the credit for that one!
How do I know which Helix mattress is right for me?
I’d start with the Helix Sleep Quiz rather than choosing based purely on price, firmness or the size of the current discount. That’s what we did before choosing the Dusk Elite, and after three months we still feel like it’s the right Helix mattress for us.
