Maren Morris came out as bisexual back in Pride Month 2024 but apparently had not had a serious relationship with another woman. That, however, may have changed.
Morris — our 2026 OUT North Texas cover girl — on Tuesday, July 7, posted a photo on Instagram of herself with her arm wrapped around Cassadee Pope, former lead singer of the group Hey Monday. Morris captioned the pic: “A time was had.”
That same day, Pope posted a photo on Instagram of her kissing Morris. The caption: She won’t go out with you because she’s out with me, silly @marenmorris.”
talked about a brief relationship with a woman, saying she had stressed up front that she was not looking for any kind of serious relationship, and the other woman agreed. Then when it was “completely falling apart,” Morris said in the video, the other woman began spreading lies and threatening the singer’s reputation to the point of “borderline extortion.”
She added, “It was pretty f**ed up. And for that to be my first experience, it was just so depressing.”
Let’s hope this new relationship works out MUCH better.
