The 2026 Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association Showcase is now officially behind us. MBCA Chairman Tom Critchley and his staff did an outstanding job of putting together the top players from the Land of 10,000 Lakes, North Dakota, and South Dakota under one roof for a weekend of high-level basketball. Over 100 college coaches made their way through the doors of White Bear Lake High School, scholarships were earned, and new names emerged on the radar.

We already highlighted 6-foot-4 combo guard Khaliq Austin and 6-foot-8 stretch forward Gus McKenna in our opening night article, as well as guards Tre Moore, Alex Loos, and Jumair Wright in our recap from the final day of action. Here are six more juniors who we hadn’t covered yet that stood out at the 2026 MBCA Showcase:
KJ Wilson, 6’1, PG, Tartan HS (Minn.), 2028
The most steady player in Minnesota’s rising junior class, KJ Wilson paced Tartan to a magical season and bought that same confidence to the MBCA Showcase. The scoring point guard got to his spots with ease, was a constant threat with his incredibly deep 3-point range, and proved many doubters wrong with his ability to facilitate for others . Sitting third in Adidas 3SSB 16U play at 22.1 points per game, Wilson has shown that he can get it done on a national stage and reminded everyone of that this past weekend, picking up a Wisconsin offer.

Ichima Idoko, 6’8, SF, DeLaSalle HS (Minn.), 2028
Playing on the most stacked team that the event had to offer, there weren’t as many shots that came Ichima Idoko’s way as usual, but he made the most of the opportunities. The swingman sought out contact every time with his straight line attacks to the rim, has some of the softest touch around finishing in the paint with his floater, and was much more engaged on the defensive end. The top prospect in Minnesota’s junior class is just scratching the surface, but the potential that he has as a two way wing is limitless.
Sully Felberg, 6’8, PF, Willow Lake HS (S. D.), 2028
The best junior in the state of South Dakota lived up to his reputation at MBCA as an inside/out threat. Felberg is an outstanding passer (both from the post and from the perimeter), controls his area on the glass, and is an elite finisher through contact. Felberg already holds D-1 offers and is next in line out of a Team Warwick program that has produced no shortage of sleepers.
Chase Maetzold, 6’8, PF, Chaska HS (Minn.), 2028
Coming off of a state title in Minnesota’s biggest division at Chaska, Chase Maetzold put himself on the radar as one to watch in Minnesota’s junior class. The stretch forward has an incredibly quick release on his jump shot, is comfortable shooting it out to NBA range, and is able to post smaller defenders. Running with Howard Pulley in the EYBL, Maetzold has had the opportunity to play against the best nationally and it showed when he was matched up against local competition.
Ryan Dielman, 6’9, PF/C, Sioux Falls Christian (South Dak.), 2028
A player who I had only seen a little of, Ryan Dieleman impressed me with his agility for a big at MNBCA. He was outstanding running the floor, showed the ability to contain on switches defensively, and was a pop threat shooting the ball from the perimeter. Already holding an offer from South Dakota, Dieleman is one of the developing Midwest bigs worth tracking.
Emmanuel Oyesanmi, 6’5, SF, Tartan HS (Minn.), 2028
One of the most physically imposing players at the event, Emmanuel Oyesanmi showed his two way potential at MBCA. The powerful wing was tough to stop when he got going downhill, played with physicality on both ends of the floor, and created a ton of deflections with his long arms. As Oyesanmi’s jump shot continues to improve, expect his recruitment to take off.
