The four model line-up of the 2026 KTM 390 Adventure motorcycles are now in Malaysia, with pricing starting at RM27,300. Identically priced are the Enduro R and SMC R, retailing at RM27,300, while the 390 Adventure X goes for RM29,300 and the 390 Adventure R is tagged at RM33,300.
Also getting a price reveal is the 390 Duke naked sports, which is expected in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of 2026 with a price of RM30,300. All pricing does not include road tax, insurance or registration and every KTM sold in Malaysia from 2026 comes with a four-year warranty against manufacturing defects, while an up-and-down quickshifter is included as standard equipment.
Sharing a common engine, KTM’s new LC4c, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill displacing 398.7 cc with service intervals every 10,000 km. Power is claimed to be 45 PS with 39 Nm of torque, going through a six-speed gearbox and chain finally drive.

Similarly, braking is also common across the range, with Brembo’s budget brand Bybre supplying a two-piston calliper and floating disc on the front wheel and a single-piston calliper and disc at the rear. Two-channel ABS is fitted as standard equipment, switchable for off-road use.
With a four model stable, each of the 390 Adventures is geared to a different riding style. With the top-of-the-line Adventure R, this highly off-road capable rally style motorcycle comes with WP Apex suspension, with 230 mm of suspension travel front and rear and 272 mm of ground clearance.
The front is fitted with a WP Apex open cartridge upside-down fork, with 43 mm diameter and adjustable for compression and rebound through a 30-click range. The rear end is held up by a WP Apex split piston monoshock, with spring preload and 20-click rebound adjustment.

Spoked wheel sizing is 21-inches in front with an 18-inch hoop at the back, shod Mitas Enduro Trail E07+ tyres, while the Bybre front calliper is radial-mounted. Seat height on the 390 Adventure R is set at 870 mm, with a listed weight of 165 kg dry, going up to 176 kg with 14-litres of fuel in the tank.
Slightly less intense than the 390 Adventure R is the Adventure X, with cast alloy wheels measuring 19-inches in front and 17-inches at the rear for a more road touring focus. The front non-adjustable WP Apex upside-down fork gives 200 mm of travel, the same as the rear WP Apex monoshock, adjustable for preload.
Braking is the same as the Adventure R, the Adventure X coming with Bybre axial-mount calliper on the front wheel clamping a 320 mm diameter disc, with a 240 mm disc and Bybre single-piston calliper in the rear. Seat height is slightly lower at 870 mm, with a wet weight at 176 kg while 14-litres of fuel is carried in the tank.

For the hard-core dual-purpose rider, the 390 Enduro R is geared for, as it’s name says, enduro off-road riding. Specification differs slightly from the Adventure ‘R’ and ‘X’, the 390 Enduro R getting a slightly smaller front brake disc, at 285 mm, while the rear brake disc measures 240 mm.
Suspension is done with 43 mm diameter WP Apex open cartridge upside-down fork in front, adjustable for compression and rebound with the rear propped up by a WP Apex mono shock, adjustable for preload. With 230 mm of suspension travel front and rear, and ground clearance of 272 mm, the rear shock on the 390 enduro R can be upgraded to give preload and rebound adjustment.
Wheel sizing on the 390 Enduro R is 21-inches in front and 18-inches at the back, with spoked wheels for off-road duty. Weight is listed at 165 kg wet with nine-litres of fuel in the tank, while seat height is set at 890 mm.

Rounding out the range is the 390 SMC R motard, bringing back to Malaysia what KTM does best, bonkers hooligan bikes that apologise to no one. The SMC R is fitted with 17-inch spoked wheels with aluminium rims and 230 mm of suspension travel with 270 mm of ground clearance.
Suspension in front is by WP Apex 43 mm diameter open cartridge upside-down fork with adjustable compression and rebound with the rear WP Apex monoshock is adjustable for preload and rebound, giving 230 mm of suspension travel front and back. With nine-litres of fuel inn the tank, the SMC R weighs in at 161 kg, while seat height is set at 860 mm.
