Finally!… the fabulous Lauren Fenmore is back onscreen on Young & the Restless… & she’s being supportive over her & her husband’s best gal pal, Phyllis. What?!? The way Lauren walked into the office, formally known as Victor Newman’s at Newman Enterprises, now owned by Phyllis, smelled, & not like any perfume at Fenmore’s.
Was Lauren’s support of Phyllis taking over Newman Enterprises not just a bit over the top?

Lauren Fenmore is Nobody’s Fool, & Phyllis is Spot on to Call It
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) talking to herself with the utmost confidence after taking over Newman Enterprises & settling into Victor’s former office was something. However, it was something else when she was cut off by her good friend, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman). Phyllis DID NOT have on her Bingo card for anyone to stop by & not to hassle her. No, Lauren didn’t bring Champagne, but she brought her friendship & support that no one on or off screen on Young & the Restless saw coming.
So, what gives? Phyllis & Lauren have a deep friendship which has included plenty of ups & downs. Phyllis was friends with Lauren’s husband, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), way before he got together with Lauren. Michael is loyal to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) & Lauren has another good friend, Victor Newman’s wife, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
We seriously have SO much to unpack here…
Lauren Owns Not Liking, but What About Her Other BFF, Nikki?
Lauren Fenmore not caring about Victor Newman losing Newman Enterprises, now that could make some sense. Her husband, Attorney Michael Baldwin, has basically been Victor Newman’s bitch for years. Michael has been nearly done/killed a number of times. Michael’s relationship with Victor has caused problems in his relationship with his wife, Lauren. How many times has Michael quit &/or retired from working for Victor? Neither Lauren nor Young & the Restless fans can count. So, Phyllis taking over Newman Enterprises keeps her husband safe. While this development is a HUGE relief for Lauren, what about her BFF Nikki Newman, who was living her professional dream as CEO of Chancellor Industries?
Insert Billy Boy Abbott, & Now We’re Talking About Chancellor
Someone had to bring up Chancellor Industries, & Y&R fans should have known it would be Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), the new CEO of Chancellor. No, Lauren didn’t bring Champagne to congratulate Phyllis, but Phyllis brought Lauren to breakfast at the GCAC. Then, how convenient, Billy Boy showed up on a break from running Chancellor.

Lauren didn’t question Billy at all. Is this because Fenmore’s is under the Jabot Umbrella, run by the Abbott family? Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is one of Lauren’s dearest friends. Lauren & Nikki have Jack’s friendship in common. So, is that all there is to it?
Y&R Fans — What Is Lauren Fenmore Actually Up To?
Lauren Fenmore was there for Nikki when she was off the wagon, in addition to Jack Abbott. Like Jack Abbott, Lauren went above & freaking beyond for Nikki. So, something is missing here & it’s not just Michael Baldwin.
