After concluding this year’s events during September Pride, the Unleashed LGBTQ+ Conference/Festival announced the launch of Unleashed LGBTQ+ Premium Vodka, a
new venture led by Unleashed founder Wesley Smoot in partnership with
Hangover Street Distribution. Per Smoot, the spirit expands on his mission of the Unleashed brand.
“We found the right partners and the perfect product—so we said, ‘Why not?’”
Smoot said in the press release. “Unleashed Vodka is a reflection of our mission: proudly queer-owned, community-minded and crafted to bring people together.”
Distilled in Central Texas, Unleashed LGBTQ+ Premium Vodka is non-GMO, gluten-free,
kosher and crafted from pure cane sugar—then distilled six times for exceptional
smoothness and purity.
The label will not only exist for cocktails and sipping, but also to give to the community. Five percent of all net profits will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations across the country.
“Producing a vodka from sugar cane seemed like a gamble at first,” he mentioned. “But
it’s smoother and cleaner than most corn, potato, or grain-based vodkas I’ve ever tried.
It’s something truly special.”
The brand’s partnership with Spec’s Distribution will expand Unleashed Vodka’s
availability across Texas. Bottles will be found in restaurants, hotels, nightclubs and certainly, LGBTQ+ bars as well. According to the press release, select retail locations in Dallas and Austin have already begun stocking the product.
