Police said the deceased is described as a Black male, 18 to 22 years old, standing 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-3 with a muscular build.

“Investigators believe this incident occurred between late 2021 and the spring of 2025,” Niagara police said in a news release issued on Tuesday. “This ongoing investigation is particularly complex due to the condition of the remains. As a result, forensic and postmortem examinations remain ongoing.”

Homicide investigators are working with the missing persons and unidentified human remains co-ordinator and have determined that the description of the victim does not match any known outstanding missing persons within the Niagara Region.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 905-688-4111, option 3, Ext. 1009417, or Crime Stoppers of Niagara at 1-800-222-8477.
