More projects keep pouring in for Emilio Daez, as he was cast in “Bar Boys: After School,” the sequel of the film “Bar Boys,” where he will take on the role of Ziggy.

Daez’s casting was announced on “Bar Boys’” Facebook page on Tuesday, August 12, where he was chosen after a “months-long audition” of over 70 aspirants.

“Introducing Emilio Daez as Ziggy in ‘Bar Boys – After School.’ After a months-long audition process of over 70 people, Emilio Daez will be playing Ziggy in the upcoming sequel to ‘Bar Boys,’” the post read.

Ziggy is described as a “wealthy young business owner” who has a “soft spot” for the people he’s working with. It remains unknown how his storyline will connect with the other cast members.

“Ziggy is a wealthy young business owner. While he struggles with reading emotions and expressing his feelings, he has a soft spot for his workers,” the post read.

It was also announced that the actor has been going through workshops since July in preparation for the role.

“Emilio’s workshops started in early July and continued today with multi-award winning actress Sue Prado,” it said.

Daez is the third “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab” edition alum cast in the upcoming film after Will Ashley and Klarisse de Guzman.

Also part of the upcoming film are original cast members Carlo Aquino, Rocco Nacino, Kean Cipriano, and Enzo Pineda, as well as Benedix Ramos, Odette Khan, Glaiza De Castro, and Sassa Gurl, to name a few.

Details on the Kip Oebanda-helmed film’s storyline and release date are yet to be announced.

Since his eviction from the “PBB” House, acting, hosting, and endorsement opportunities have been pouring in for Daez. He recently wrapped up the sports drama “Love at First Spike,” and is also cast in the upcoming film “Romance Reboot.”

He is also one of the hosts of “Idol Kids Philippines” and “ASAP.” /edv
