This year’s White Rock Home Tour, happening April 26-27, promises an eclectic mix of architectural styles across six homes that embody diversity in both design and personality. These homeowners have created a dream space amid the nearby lake, tree-lined streets and a golden hour enviable by all other neighborhoods.
Through this year’s tour, visitors will experience Mid-Century Modern sleekness and inspired contemporary innovations.

“We are thrilled to recount the incredible journey of the White Rock Home Tour committee,” Chanda Rousseau, vice president of RJA Construction LLC stated. “Guided by the devoted leadership of enthusiastic volunteers, this team has diligently collaborated to craft a remarkable event that highlights the beauty and creativity of our community’s homes.”
Rousseau also serves as this year’s White Rock Home Tour chair.
This year marks the 17th annual tour, and, for 2025, the self-guided event will feature six homes across the White Rock neighborhood. Among the curated stops this year are:

Rousseau emphasizes that these spaces not only boast innovative and inspiring design but also actively contribute to the betterment of the surrounding community: Homes on this year’s tour, as in years past, play a crucial role in fundraising efforts for the neighborhood school, Hexter Elementary, thus giving added positive impact for the community as a whole.

The White Rock Home Tour was, in fact, founded by a group of parents whose children all attended Hexter and who all shared an interest in mid-century architecture.
Tour founder Christine Rogers, quoted on the WRHT website, noted, “White Rock Home Tour was conceived in 2006 to celebrate the untold story of two up-and-coming Dallas architects from the 1950s whose Mid-Century Modern home designs shaped the northeast side of White Rock Lake.
“The tour draws together a group of people who appreciate good design, who are drawn to White Rock Lake, and who support strong neighborhoods and the schools that serve them,” she added.
Rousseau said, “I take pride in standing with these accomplished individuals as we commemorate a truly outstanding year. Together, we are nurturing a sense of community and inspiring admiration for architectural artistry while raising essential funds for Hexter Elementary.
“As a long-time sponsor and community member, my involvement stems from a passion for fostering community spirit and supporting local education,” she added.
The goal is to raise $100,000 to directly benefit the students and teachers of Hexter Elementary, a DISD school. These funds will be used to bridge budget gaps and provide essential materials and programs that would otherwise be unavailable due to financial constraints.

By attending the White Rock Home Tour, visitors not only get to experience the beauty and creativity of these homes but also contribute to a homespun cause that supports the education and well-being of the area’s local students.
