Karin Ann + Duncan Laurence collab on “Choking on my Words”

Alt-pop singer and staunch LGBTQ ally Karin Ann joins forces with bi Eurovision winner Duncan Laurence for this release that came out last Friday. “I wrote this song about the idea of having a conversation with the dark parts of yourself, maybe the parts of yourself that you don’t want to face but need to in order to process things and move on…collaborating with Duncan felt so natural; his approach and perspective brought a new layer to the track that I couldn’t have imagined on my own. I’m so proud of what we created,” she said in the single’s announcement.

Out country artist Andrew Mitch releases new single “Back Home Boy”

Nashville based recording artist Andrew Mitch released his new single “Back Home Boy” also on Valentine’s Day . The track was co-written by Andrew Mitch with Jonathan Johnston and produced by Mitch.

“I really wanted to write a song about meeting someone at a bar and wanting to bring them back home, but not ‘back to your place’,” Mitch said in the song’s press release. “There are so many songs about one night stands. But for so much of the gay community, that’s not real life. So many of us just want to settle down, get married, and have a family. I wrote this so that other gay men could have that real life, ‘let’s get to know each other’ song.”

Andrew Mitch is a Nashville-based artist who mixes country-pop with emotional, storytelling.

David Archuleta covers George Michael’s “Freedom”

Earlier this month, Archuleta release his rendition of the Billboard Top 10 certified Gold single, “Freedom” by George Michael on its 35th anniversary. The track is produced by Phil Lawrence, the Grammy-winning talent behind Bruno Mars, Adele and CeeLo Green.

“ When I came out, George’s music took on a whole new meaning for me. I could feel him breaking out through his music that I craved to experience myself. It was like a motion helping me forward in my own journey,” Archuleta said in the announcement. “To honor that step ahead, I’m covering his song ‘Freedom’ which again I can relate to so much. Being in front of millions as a teenager on TV to now having to reshape who I am and what that means for me in the public eye, and hopefully sharing that spirit of George with today’s generation.”
