Wednesday at Roland Garros delivered two statement wins, confirming the Friday semi-final lineup in Paris.
Jannik Sinner produced another commanding performance, dismantling Alexander Bublik in just under two hours to reach his sixth Grand Slam semi-final.
Later in the day, Novak Djokovic reminded everyone why he’s still a force in Paris, recovering from a slow start to defeat Alexander Zverev in four sets.
The 24-time Slam champion now moves into his 13th Roland Garros semi-final and will face Sinner in a blockbuster Friday clash.
With Alcaraz vs. Musetti already locked in from the top half, the final four is set. Here’s how Day Eleven unfolded on the clay.

Jannik Sinner is into his sixth Grand Slam semi-final after seeing off Alexander Bublik 6-1, 7-5, 6-0.
The World No. 1 dominated on Court Philippe-Chatrier, using his trademark precision to counter Bublik’s game in a one-hour, 48-minute rout.
I thought Bublik might cause a few problems, as Sinner has shown all tournament that he’s far too good for ball machine-type players.
Bublik offers something a bit different, but he started nervously, making way too many errors as he dropped the opener 6-1.
That set the tone for the match as it sucked any belief out of Bublik, and although he rallied in the second set when he got his dropshot working nicely, Sinner broke in the 11th game to snatch the set and then went on to bagel Bublik in the third, winning the last eight games of the match.
We played a couple times already, so you know a little bit what to expect. But in another way, with him, you never know what is happening. He deserved to be in the quarter-finals, he beat very tough opponents. I tried to stay focused from my side of the court and play as solid as possible as he can have some ups and downs. I am trying to serve very well in important moments, which I have done. Against this kind of player, you have to be consistent because if you make a lot of mistakes, it is a game where if we both serve very well, there is already not so many rallies. I tried to get rhythm with the rallies. I am very happy and happy with how I arrived in the semi-finals. Semi-finals in Grand Slams are very special, so I am looking forward to it. Sinner on his win.

Novak Djokovic delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday evening at Roland Garros, overcoming last year’s finalist Alexander Zverev 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 to reach his 51st Grand Slam semi-final.
Zverev started strongly, taking a 2-0 lead and winning the first set with a 17/18 first-serve point success rate. But you could sense Novak was getting into things, and after being broken in his opening service game, he never looked like dropping serve again.
In the second set, Djokovic began to mix up his game, disrupting Zverev’s baseline game with a varied approach that included drop shots and net play, to level the score quickly.
He maintained this approach until the end, mixing short points, net exchanges, and gruelling rallies, including a 41-shot rally to save a break point in the fourth set’s sixth game, which is a point of the year contender.
He then sealed the three-hour, 18-minute victory on his fifth match point to move into his 13th Roland Garros semi-final.
A few weeks ago, I was thinking Novak could even skip clay to focus on the grass season, given his early-season struggles. However, he has regained top form, arriving in Paris fresh off his 100th tour-level title in Geneva, and he’s now on a nine-match win streak.
Tonight, I thought he played very solidly and exploited the weaknesses in Zverev’s game. I’m reluctant to say ‘great’ as I’m not sure about Zverev’s level of play.
The German is an easy target for criticism, so I don’t want to kick him while he’s down, but his record against the best in Slams is relatively poor (8/15 vs. Top 10), and tonight was a weak performance where he never looked like he thought he was the winner out there.
Djokovic was always one step ahead of him, as he read his game easily, and he hit his groundstrokes with a lot more conviction (averaging +3mph more). So, it was the same old story for Sascha: too passive at times and not grabbing the bull by the horns. When he goes one set up, he has to keep his foot down, not start hitting through the middle of the court from way back. Ironically, one of the best points he played was when saving one of the four match points in the final game 😕
Especially during the last game, my tactic was just to play drop shots. So I played three or four in a row… Maybe you can’t see it on TV, but there is a lot of wind from one side, so it gives the sensation that you must hit twice as hard. It was important to vary the game. Evidently there was a lot of pressure at the end, Zverev has been one of the best players in the world over the past six years. Matches like this tonight are the reason why I still want to play and compete. Djokovic on his win.
