Smile singer Lily Allen celebrated her 40th birthday this week and took to Instagram to share a few sultry snaps with fans
Lily Allen was ready for the sunshine as she marked her 40th birthday with a slew of saucy snaps. The Smile singer took to her Instagram page to share her look for the day, which was pleated olive green trousers, a sheer mesh baby blue body and a lengthy gold necklace with a red heart pendant.
The star rocked red locks and completed her sultry look with black sunglasses. “Happy Birthday to me,” she captioned the post which had fans rushing to the comment section to compliment her. One friend wrote: “How are you Benjamin Buttoning? You look great but more importantly you continue you spiritual evolution to greatness and thats even more impressive.”

One fan commented: “Happy special Birthday gorgeous girl! So excited to hear all about it on Miss Me! Glad the sun is shining in London for you,” while another posted: “Happy birthday to the queen of UK music my favourite forever.”
Her birthday celebrations came a month after she shared a cryptic comment as she shrugged off her estranged husband David Harbour’s birthday.
The Alfie singer and Stranger Things star split in December last year – four years after they married one another in a Las Vegas wedding. Earlier last month, it was claimed that throughout their marriage, David had an affair behind Lily’s back.
Reports claimed that the Thunderbolts actor “cheated” on the star with a costume designer he met on a film set. Their relationship reportedly lasted more three years with David also paying for the mystery woman to fly to Atlanta while he was there filming for Stranger Things.
Elsewhere, David was reportedly spotted on a celebrity dating app during his marriage to Lily. The actor has not publicly acknowledged the accusations that he cheated on Lily or that he was on an app while married to the singer.
In a recent episode of her Miss Me? podcast with pal Miquita Oliver, Lily shared a very cryptic comment as she ignored his birthday.
Introducing the podcast, Miquita apologised to listeners as they had to take a week out for “reasons” which were out of both her and Lily’s control. “Things change,” Lily shrugged as she reflected. Elsewhere, Lily revealed her thoughts on humanity and likened it to a Venus flytrap.
“Why would humanity be a Venus flytrap, darling?,” Miquita asked her friend as Lily responded: “It just like lures you in,” before making a snap gesture. “Kills you,” she added.
Earlier this year, Lily admitted she checked herself into a treatment centre to deal with the trauma of the shock breakup. She revealed in March that she still wasn’t “over it”.
She said in her podcast: “I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything. I’m really not in a good place. I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiralling and spiralling and spiralling, and it’s got out of control. I’ve tried.”
