Mckenna Grace brings a bold, color-blocked Gucci gown to the photocall for “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” in London. Mckenna Grace wears a mint green chiffon bodice with voluminous balloon sleeves and a black high neckline. Two embroidered parrots in blue, purple, and orange face each other across the chest, with red coiled motifs near the shoulders. In addition, a blush lace panel in an hourglass shape runs between the birds, edged with sparkling beads. Furthermore, a crystal bow with hanging chains sits at the neckline, and a lace yoke adds delicate detail at the shoulders.
At the midsection, a green satin belt cinches the waist, while the balloon sleeves gather into black velvet cuffs trimmed with tiny beads. Below the belt, tiers of ruffled chiffon cascade into a color gradient. Each tier has a wavy, scalloped edge that adds movement to the skirt. The colors transition from mint and aqua to soft pink, deeper pink, and finally hot pink at the hem, where a ruffled train spreads across the purple carpet.
The look serves as a striking throwback to Alessandro Michele’s celebrated Fall 2016 collection for Gucci. On the original runway, the model wore the gown with dramatic black lace gloves. Grace chose a more modern approach, skipping the sheer gloves to keep the focus on the ornate velvet cuffs and shimmering beaded neckline.
Additionally, Grace keeps the styling soft and simple. Her long blonde hair falls in smooth waves past her shoulders, and her makeup stays fresh with a rosy pink lip and soft blush. Silver studs finish the look, leaving the embroidery as the focal point.
