Mulgil Kim (previously featured) is a South Korean painter whose artistic journey was profoundly shaped by an extensive global expedition, traveling across 46 countries over the course of nearly two years. This monumental road trip sparked her ongoing “Art Road” series, anchoring her creative practice in themes of deep stillness, introspection, and humanity’s quiet bond with the natural world.
Her paintings are characterized by vast, soothing landscapes where elements of nature melt into surreal, dreamlike sanctuaries. Frequently featuring a recurring figure in a blue dress or gentle animals wandering through endless fields of soft grass, her compositions avoid strict narratives in favor of open-ended emotional spaces. Through muted tones, minimalist compositions, and sweeping textures, she constructs visual poetry designed to offer viewers a moment of profound peace.
