Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) takes the wind out of Sarah Sugden’s (Katie Hill) sails in Emmerdale next week as he makes it clear that he has no qualms about filling Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) in on her big secrets.
Sarah, as viewers are aware, is single-handedly responsible for Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) plight, changing her statement regarding Dr Todd’s (Caroline Harker) death in a bid to incriminate her gran.
Her sole aim in doing so is to punish Charity, who revealed earlier this month the truth about baby Leyla’s parentage.
Charity previously told the police she’d killed Todd, who raped her several months ago, in a bid to protect Sarah, who is the actual culprit. But in light of the truth about Leyla, Sarah saw an opportunity to make her gran suffer, ensuring she’d spend the rest of her life behind bars.
Mack is among several characters utterly appalled by the brutality of her revenge scheme, with Cain (Jeff Hordley) desperately urging her to reconsider and change her statement back.

If anyone could get through to her it would Cain. But even the Dingle patriarch struggled to get Sarah to see sense.
Unwilling to let Charity rot behind bars for a crime she did not commit, a number of characters gather together on Monday (September 14) as the next phase of Operation Get Sarah To Change Her Mind is underway.
Sarah heads to Wishing Well and hears pleas from Cain, Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Mack and Moira (Natalie J Robb).
Believing she still holds all the cards, Sarah is unmoved – that is, until Mack reminds her that Jacob still doesn’t know about the truth of Leyla’s paternity, nor does he know about the fact that Sarah is the killer.

Despite Cain’s efforts to get him to back down, Mack reiterates that he will fill Jacob in on the truth if Sarah doesn’t do the right thing and get Charityreleased.
His words quite clearly have an impact on Sarah, who is taken aback by his vow. Has Mack done enough to get Charity released?
The day in question proves devastating for Charity, who is subjected to a humiliating full-body search after white powder is found in her cell. The incident triggers a PTSD-induced panic attack and she is taken to segregation.
Emmerdale airs tese scenes on Monday September 14 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
