Meet Clyde, a 3-year-old, 44-pound hound mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. He is a sweet, friendly guy who enjoys being around people and soaking up attention whenever he can get it, but he also has a playful side, and he loves fun outings, sniffing around and enjoying all the exciting smells the world has to offer. When playtime is over, Clyde is just as happy to settle down and relax by your side. Clyde is being treated for heartworms and awaiting a dental procedure, so he needs a calm foster or foster-to-adopt home to relax in due to being under exercise restriction while undergoing treatment. This means leash walks only for awhile and the foster family should be comfortable bringing him to the SPCA of Texas periodically for vet visits.
Clyde is an SPCA of Texas Longtime Lovable, which is a pet who has been in the shelter more than 60 days. So when the time comes, his adoption fee will be FREE! Come meet Clyde today at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center, 2400 Lone Star Drive, open daily from noon-6 p.m. He is neutered and microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. If you’re interested in just fostering, email foster@spca.org to schedule an appointment.
