Jennifer Garner is paying tribute to the father of her kids, ex husband Ben Affleck, and her late father, William John, on dad’s special day.
​The 13 before 30 actress took to her Instagram account on Monday, June 21, and reflected on how much her kids, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, are blessed to have a “great dad” like Affleck in their life.
​The doting mom posted a throwback picture of Affleck with their kids when they were younger.
​The second slide in the post featured Affleck carrying Seraphina, when she was a baby, tied on his chest, while the doting father can be seen holding Violet’s hand.
​The last picture in the carousel showed Affleck in Batman costume while carrying young Samuel. As Samuel, now 13, looked away, Affleck was looking at him with affection.
​Garner also paid an honor to her late dad by sharing his photo in the carousel and looking back she wrote in the caption, “My sisters and I loved to spoil our dad; he never wanted for fresh baked cookies or a bowl of ice cream.”
​The caption continued, “I see the way my kids dote on their dad and I’m happy for them. To love and be loved by a great dad is a gift.”
​”Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads and to the kids of dads, too,” she concluded.
​For those unversed, Affleck and Garner remained married for 10 years after tying the knot in 2005. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2018.
