It continues to be confirmed that, with Josh Griffith still at the helm of Young & the Restless, some things that fans would like to see changed or updated won’t be. The 2025 final four of the most annoying women in Genoa City on Y&R hasn’t changed much in the last year, & the one switch absolutely pains me.
Yes, Phyllis Summers made the list this year. For this to happen, things had to be real bad this year in Genoa City.

Y&R’s Phyllis Summers: Annoying Like It’s Her Job in 2025
While Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is technically STILL unemployed, she has been annoying like it’s her job in 2025. Believe it or not, she took over Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) position as one of the most annoying women from the 2024 list. How??… Because Chelsea actually could not have been more boring in 2025.
Seriously, how many episodes did Chelsea & Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) discuss who took whose jalapeño lime chips?
Really??… Anyway… Phyllis did make the list & she’d better be doing everything in her power to get off of it for 2026, but if Josh Griffith remains at the helm of Y&R, who knows? Phyllis Summers was truly at her best when she owned & operated the Grand Phoenix. Ever since, she’s been on some sort of trial & error plan, & almost every time it’s an error.
As of late, Phyllis has made a deal with The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that is already not working out, but almost every single Young & the Restless saw this coming & are still shaking their heads. Phyllis does have SO much potential personally & professionally. Why can’t she find her place again?
Nikki Newman & Her Favorite Granddaughter: ANNOYING!
Lather, rinse, repeat… Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) & her favorite granddaughter, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), remain at the top of the list for the most annoying women in Genoa City on Young & the Restless.
Nikki’s ongoing hatred for her stepson son Adam Newman, is beyond getting old. Especially since, as of lately, he’s becoming more & more like his father/her husband, Victor Newman, the love of her life.
Speaking of Victor Newman, he is Nikki Newman’s main vehicle to be one of the most annoying women in Genoa City. Nikki Newman tries to put on like Victor Newman would never hurt anyone when she knows damn well what a hateful SOB has been & continues to be at his leisure without giving a damn about anyone else.
Also, what is this about Nikki Newman being qualified to run Chancellor Industries? How? Sure, she has her sidekick assistant, her favorite granddaughter Claire, but what in the actual hell? Now Claire is running a division Victor made up for Claire’s father, the late Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), Newman Publishing, but now under the Chancellor umbrella.

Now Nikki claims she’s ready to leave Victor if he doesn’t destroy the A.I. program Miss Phyllis stole from Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) to get control of Jabot.
What if Nikki actually leaves Victor? What happens to her job at Chancellor Industries? What happens to Claire Newman’s job? Will Victor or Nikki get the new Newman Ranch?
While there is little to no hope for Nikki to become less annoying, Claire & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) just supposedly parted ways for real, & she & Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) ARE HOT, so there’s potential…
…Especially if Audra keeps slapping Claire in public in Genoa City on Y&R.
Last but Not Least, Y&R’s Lily Winters: STILL ANNOYING!
Yes, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is STILL annoying in 2025, only more than in 2024. Now Lily isn’t just still annoying, she’s even more bitchy! One day she trusts Victor Newman, the next she doesn’t, a few days later she does again, & on & freaking on. Make. It. Stop..

Seriously, what’s her point right now on Young & the Restless? She doesn’t work. She takes issue with almost everyone she encounters in Genoa City except for her equally annoying & grumpy brother, Devon Winters (Bryton James). Instead of going into the off-screen only Winters, Inc. office, she spends her time full-time sticking her nose into everyone else’s business, in the style of Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) back in 2023.
Finally, the Young & the Restless soap opera domination of Aristotle Dumas, turning out to be Cane Ashby, who invited too many people to the Dumas trip from hell in the South of France, & ending up back in Genoa City for Lily to focus on anytime her nose isn’t elsewhere, could not be more annoying. Christel Khalil, who portrays Lily Winters, is plenty pregnant & has been carrying around the biggest bags & wearing the biggest jackets ever.
When Christel Khalil goes on maternity leave, who will replace Lily’s focus on Cane & will pick up sticking their nose in everyone else’s business all over Genoa City on Young & the Restless?
