The fourth annual Pride in Dallas Parade, centered on a theme of “United in Love, Bound by Pride,” is only 30 days away, and organizers say anyone who wants to participate needs to get signed up now.
“We are actively welcoming more floats and vendors to join us in celebrating pride in the Oak Lawn community,” organizers said today (Friday, Aug. 22) in a press release. “With more than 20,000 people expected to attend to enjoy the variety of events throughout the week, this year’s parade and surrounding celebrations will be the largest and most vibrant yet.”
Vincent DeLuna, executive director of Pride in Dallas, said, “As we finalize preparations for this year’s Pride in Dallas Parade, our goal is to showcase the strength, creativity, and unity of the LGBTQ+ community here in Oak Lawn.”
He continued, “This parade is about more than just floats; it’s a celebration of our shared pride and resilience. We’re inviting businesses, organizations, and community groups to bring their voices, colors, and energy to Cedar Springs and be part of history with us.”
Pride in Dallas Week is Sept. 14-21, culminating in the Parade on Cedar Springs on Sunday, Sept. 21. The parade steps off at 2 p.m. at the Kroger store at Wycliff, to make its way down Cedar Springs to Walgreens at Oak Lawn Avenue. The vendor and entertainment area along the parade route is expected to expand this year.
Floats and vendors are encouraged to register now.
