Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively’s courtroom drama over It Ends With Us took another dramatic turn after reports claimed the case ended in Lively’s favour.
While Lively spent Halloween celebrating with Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told Daily Mail that no mistakes have been made in court.
He said his client chose not to file an amended complaint so he could keep the right to appeal.
Freedman stated that the media has twisted the facts and that the truth of the case has been “completely distorted.”
He insisted that the actor and director’s team was focused on pursuing the facts and would continue to fight for their side in court.
The feud began when Lively filed a $250 million harassment complaint, accusing Baldoni of inappropriate behaviour during filming.
Soon after, he filed a $400 million lawsuit of his own, claiming the actress and the New York Times damaged his reputation and tried to take over the project.
A Simple Favor star later accused her co-star’s team of hiding key evidence and using digital tools to spread false information about her.
She also demanded a full version of an explicit birth video allegedly shown to her on set, calling it “pornography.”
Both sides denied the allegations. However, the legal battle, filled with claims, counterclaims and new filings, showed no signs of ending as both stars prepared for the next chapter of their public fight.
